With over 120,000 visitors over four days (3-6 August) 2017, the BBC Countryfile Show at Blenheim Palace was very busy. There was such a wide variety of things to do and see, which made it an ideal day out, especially for families – learning about British livestock, talks at the National Trust theatre, artisan arts and crafts, food demonstrations, music, children’s activities, and more!
I wish that I could have seen more of what was going on outside, but I was engrossed in conversations with visitors about travel destinations inside the Shopping Village marquee for the majority of the time. Land-based and cruise trips were discussed, and places of interest included Cuba, Botswana, USA, Malaysia and Costa Rica, to name a few.
When I did ‘go out for air’, it was lovely to see the country animals, sample food in the Food Kitchen marquee and take in the sunshine (in between the downpours of rain). If you didn’t get a chance to attend this year, maybe put it in the diary for 2018!
